Visual Statement

The topic that we are discussing today is Depression. Our message about our topic to the world or to our classmates is that "it can happen to anyone" and you can reach out for help and not hesitate and it doesn't matter if you have both or one you can reach out for help there is help for everyone, everyone has a second chance in life. We as partner's are talking about it because it can relate to us as teen's even if you are old or you went through the phase everyone develop or go through it. Our project goal is to make a 2-3 min visual statement or video explaining the issue that is relevant to our audience or what we have experienced. Cara Griffin is our editor & Visual statement writer. She worked really hard helping me with the visual statement and she work's hard with the editing process.  I was the  actor & visual statement writer. I worked hard to write the visual statement with cara, she is great by throwing out inspiration things to help with the visual statement. Shylee Shimabukuro role in this project is the audio writing script part & Actor. Shylee Shimabukuro wrote the entire part of the audio and helped throw out some ideas to help with the visual statement. she worked hard to help her peer's with anything we needed.

Final cut pro is a new technology item that Mr.Sanderl showed our class to help us create this fun and new project. The point of this new technology item that Mr.Sanderl showed us is for us teen's to learn and experiment and create a 2-3 minute film or video where we explain an issue that we have experienced or what teen's soon to be adult's have faced. Final cut pro can help us create our own video and make it our way. Final cut pro can help us by using short videos to download to the computer and we can edit it by adding color or taking away color it also allows us to add music and take away music. We have learned and experiment different types of editing equipment. It is important to use FCPX libraries for events and projects properly because that way we don't ruin or damage anyone else's work and most of all you should never touch or do anything to others hard work. Another good reason that FCPX is important especially when doing projects and important events is because it organizes your things and keeps all your films, images, colors or any special effects that you use for your films and keeps them saved. Audio levels can vary drastically if you have one person say something high and another person says something low. You can correctly balance what your audience will hear if you go to the bottom of the screen where the visual images and audio are and you'll see the voice over if there is one piece that you input in the bottom of the visual images then you input another one then you can see the two voice overs that you have made then you can look at the sound waves and if one is lower and one is higher then you can pull up and down to manage the sound to balance it out so it can flow better with the video. I think the part of our video that displays higher quality is the video clips because we worked on it more and it was more complicated to do which makes us more into it and we work harder on it then we did on the voice over.

The biggest challenge that we faced making this project was getting the visual images and the voice over organize, the script writing was also pretty difficult. What we did to overcome these challenges  was we worked together as a team to try and help each other to get the scenes done even though we did have our differences. Our group dynamic that is thriving with force towards achieving the project goal is all of us but if I have to chose one person then it will be Cara because she has worked so hard on this project but I do think that me and Shylee did a good job trying to help her and together as a team we did a great job and I am glad that I got to work with these girls and make our relationship as friends more better and just have fun. The most enjoyable part about this project is making a video that we can chose to do our topic about and have fun filming it with my friends and having a great time and just in general having to do something that can obtain or relate to our peer's and can show a positive video that can send a powerful message to everyone and show what we have learned to communicate with everyone and make everyone feel the feeling that they feel from the video. Our feeling's that we have had while filming is a lot of emotions that most teens don't want to go through. To me personally I felt a lot of emotions that I have felt before it was hard because my emotions like most teens are very mixed. I was feeling scared, and mostly camera shy because I personally don't like how i look on camera that much. Cara her feelings were great because she was not in the film & she likes to be behind the scenes.I predict that when our classmates and my teacher are watching this film they will feel the emotions that we felt and other's felt when watching it. I think this project was a good project because we got to film something was related to us. My teammates felt about this project is that we are bring notice to a problem that people overlook. They think that it's just a phase that they go to through and they think they don't have to get help they feel all these emotions and it doesn't really help that the fact that the parents think that it's just a phase and their kids don't need help but actually they do need help and I think that if you experience it and read about it then you will understand more.

Workplace Safety Video

The topic for our workplace safety video was proper handling of tools and equipment. Our goal was to tell our audience the dos and don'ts of using classroom apparatus in our ACCP Core class. My teammates are Trinity and Isabella. Trinity was the cameraman and editor, I was the actor and audio creator, Isabella was the script writer and digital portfolio creator. I feel that Trinity deserves special recognition because she did a great job as the team director, and her editing skills far surpass the editing abilities of Isabella and myself. She was also a great vocal talent for our voiceover. I feel that trinity put in the most effort to the team with editing the video and recording, me and Isabella

Our biggest takeaway from this project is that effective communication is essential for teamwork. We
learned that proper handling of tools and equipment is an important part of workplace safety. We
use lots of appliances in Mr. Sanderl's classroom, some of which are expensive or fragile. I feel that if
we did anything differently we wouldn't have finished on time cause we did a pretty good job

Coding Altino Cars

Coding is important to learn because the world is getting smarter and more digital and in the future we may need to know how to code to get from place to place. Challenge #1 was pretty hared, me and my team mate  isabella had a difficult time getting the codes right. It took a lot of tries before we made the perfect code. our car went backwards so for the Go we had it at -1000, 1000. in the video above our code was perfect but Nenes stupid feet were in the way. (thanks a lot Nene)

For Challenge #2 me and isabella had a little bit of an easier time with the codes. I my self did not do a lot of the coding it was manly isabella but I would help her when she needed it. I personally would not trust an autonomous car because you never know what might happen. I do think that autonomous cars will be used in the future and that every one will have one at some point

ACO 3.0 - Art & Design

The Elements of art that were used in my still life painting were Line, Shape, and Texture. Some lines were thick and some were thin making the illusion of it popping out of the screen. The part I enjoyed most was outlining the the objects, I found it very satisfying zooming all the way in and making the lines. I like my out come and I wouldn't want to change anything about it except having more time to completely finish my art. the most challenging part for me was the small words and numbers.

My landscape image was taken at my new house it is the view that I walk out my house to see every morning before getting in the car and heading to school. I think that the final product of my still life image turned out better then I thought it would. I had a difficult time following along while editing so my friend Isabella helped me out.

The portrait photo that I am using was taken in my stepmoms car it is of me and I picked because I looked cute, it reminds me that I can look cute when I want to. In this portrait I used Line, Shape, Texture and color. For my critique I felt that it was very unfair that the teacher told everyone to critique my art as a 2, just because he doesn't like how my art turned doesn't mean that everyone thinks the same as him because everyone has their own opinion. I will admit that my Still image deserved the 2, but to the three people that critiqued my Mix art as a 3, you obviously know what art is, as for the people that critiqued all three of my art as a 1, you are an idiot.

ACO 5.0 - Audio Production

During this assignment I was the vocal talent I was gone for three days and couldn't help out on writhing the script.  I felt pretty bad because my partners Isabella and Trinity did all the work.  In the end it turned out good and sounds lovely.  We had to practice a lot until we perfected it and it did take some time for me to properly pronounce words.

I think we did good and we covered all seven principles of design, it was pretty funny and some people laughed.  Some obstacles along the way were trying to pronounce big words that I didn't under stand all that well. My team helped me out and made it easier for me to say, I think we could have improved on on the music but over all it was great.

Trinity: (In a deep narrating voice) In the beginning, there was white space. A blank sheet of white. With nothing more than a single, lonely tree, off-centered in the corner of the vast white canvas.

Isabella: (narrator) This was unacceptable to repetition.

Ahnahi: (Enter repetition - in a high voice) “Why have one tree, when we could make a vast forest of them?”

Isabella: (narrator) So it added many trees that looked just like the other. They were randomly placed and all pointing different directions. Now, the tree had many other trees to keep it company.

Trinity: (narrator) Balance could not fathom that fact that all of the trees were off centered and looked as though on the brink of collapse.

Ahnahi: (Enter balance - in a disgusted voice) “I must fix this monstrosity!” exclaimed Balance.

Trinity: (narrator) So it spread the trees out evenly and made them point upright, as a tree should. Proportion, however, did not think it was all about being uniform.

Ahnahi: (Enter proportion - in a low voice) Proportion whispered, “A forest of trees should be diverse, with each tree it’s own unique size and scale.”
